What makes you feel calm
Cannabidiol (CBD) is an active compound of the cannabis plant which does not create a high. CBD is safely used in food, oils and lotions. What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are naturally occuring compounds found in the Cannabis Sativa plants. Most of the times cannabinoids are classified based on their origin.
Phytocannabinoids: these are plant based cannabinoids, the plant is only capable to synthesize the phytocannabinoids into their non phychoactive forms like ∆9-THCA CBDA, THCA and CBGA. The acidic phytocannabinoids suffer partial descarboxylation in the drying and curing process of buds and some of their active neutral forms ∆9-THC, CBD, CBG and CBC are mainly found in the plants dry material. Applying heat will further decarboxylate the compounds and increases the percentage of the active neutral compounds.
Endocannabinoids: we all have them, these natural occurring compounds are produced by humans and animal organisms. Most known are Anandamide and 2 AG.
The endocannabinoid system: this system is able to connect the phytocannabinoids with the endocannabinoids like a key and a lock. That is why cannabis is worldwide known as a medicinal plant. It literally connects with our bodies.
How to use the Pot?
Before you start!
Select the right place for your plant to grow: an outdoor space, such as a balcony or terrace, with about 5 hours of sunlight a day is the most appropriate for the development of the plant. The ideal temperature in the sun is approximately 20-25º C. The best time to germinate seeds is between the months of April and June if you are in the northern hemisphere. Review the material before you start! With this Pot you have everything you need for your crop. All you need to do is water approximately once a week.
Seed germination
- Soak the germination plug a few minutes in water.
- Make sure it is fully hydrated and swollen.
- Make a small hole in the plug and insert the seed.
- Let it rest for 48-72 hours in a cool, dark place.
- Once the seed opens and you see a white root, the seed is ready to be transplanted to the Pot.
Transplant the seedling
- Before transplanting the seedling, fill the pot with the substrate included in this Pot. Slightly moisten the soil when you put it in the pot.
- Make a small hole in the substrate and insert the microlife supplement included in this Pot closely to the root.
- Carefully insert the plug with the germinated seedling into the hole. Cover the hole with substrate so that the first leaf bud is on the outside. Gently re-moisten the area so that the soil remains firm.
- Find a suitable place for your plant. The ideal place is a balcony, window or terrace where it receives approximately 5 hours of sunlight a day and with a degree of incidence of 20-25º, avoiding direct exposure to the sun.
Irrigation
For the plant to grow and flourish properly you must water the plant periodically. Depending on the temperature and humidity conditions of the growing space, you should water the plant every 3-6 days. The ideal time to water the plant is when you notice that the soil is dry, respecting the water-air cycle in the substrate. The approximate amount of water for each irrigation is 1:4. In other words, since the Pot has a volume of 1.1 liters of soil; we must irrigate with about 280 ml of water each time.
- Water every 3-6 days, depending on the moisture level of the soil.
- Water with 280 ml of water each time.
Growth
During the following weeks the plant will grow and will be in its vegetative growth phase. That is, its stems and leaves will develop abundantly until reaching adulthood. The duration of this period is highly variable; depending on the time of year and the conditions of temperature and light in which the plant lives. It can last between 5 and 12 weeks. During this time the ‘supersoil’ substrate will feed the plant. Keep watering the plant as instructed and observe its stems and leaves. If there are deficiencies or beginnings of a possible plague, consult an expert to apply preventive products. If the plant is not growing well, change the plant’s location to find a more suitable light and temperature condition.
Bloom
In this phase the plant will concentrate all its vital energy in the production of its flowers, although during the first weeks of flowering it will continue to grow. You will be able to see the birth of the first pistils that will become the flowers and that will appear at the nodes of the largest leaves with the main stem. You will observe that the pistils are like little white hairs that will slowly turn into buds and produce their characteristic resin. Since the Pot seeds are 100% feminized, you won’t have to worry about separating the “male” plants or pollinating the flowers: your harvest will be all delicious female flowers. The flowering phase lasts about 7-9 weeks.
